How much does garage door motor repair cost?

It depends on the fault. A control board issue costs less to fix than a failed motor unit. We diagnose on-site and give you a clear price before any repair work starts.

My door is stuck open, is that an emergency?

Yes, a door stuck open is a security risk and we treat it as a priority callout. Call us and explain the situation so we can get to you as fast as the schedule allows.

Can you replace one damaged panel instead of the whole door?

On most sectional doors, yes, a single damaged panel can usually be replaced on its own, which is faster and cheaper than a full door replacement. We confirm this on-site.

Do you work on all garage door motor brands?

We work across the major motor brands used in South Africa. If you're not sure what you have, send a photo of the motor unit and we'll confirm before the callout.

Do you offer same-day callouts?

Emergency situations (doors stuck open or shut) are prioritised. Non-emergency repairs are typically booked within the same week.

What happens to my garage door motor during load shedding?

Most modern motors have a manual release cord so you can open the door by hand when the power is out. If you want the door to keep working automatically through outages, we can fit a battery backup. Ask us for a quote when we're on-site.

Can power surges from load shedding damage my motor?

Yes, the on/off switching during load shedding is a common cause of control board faults. If your motor stopped responding after an outage, that's usually the first thing we check.

Do you work in security estates and complexes that need body corporate approval?

Yes, we regularly work in gated estates and sectional title complexes around Paarl and Wellington. If the estate requires a contractor form, ID or vehicle details ahead of time, let us know when you book and we'll come prepared.

Is storm or wind damage to my garage door covered by insurance?

Often, yes, most household policies cover storm damage to doors and motors. We can provide a written quote and photos formatted for a claim; just ask when you book the callout.

Do you guarantee your repair and installation work?

Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed, and parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. We'll explain exactly what's covered before any work starts.
